One In A Million

Brave, unique, one in millions .

These are not just adjectives They are true descriptions .We are not talking about some imaginary superhero of Hollywood .The story is about a girl ,No wait, a woman, not appropriate, a widow all these words doesn't fit her. She is a warrior, a true one, applauded  once by the whole country. "When life gives you a setback rebound with a comeback." she's a perfect example for this. A Young village girl who knew nothing about the cruel world was married to a man at her 15 years age. She became a mother of two and soon a widow too. This is where the real story begins. her name is Shanti Tigga and she is undoubtedly the pride of India. She is the first woman Jawan. I didn't over emphasize saying she is one in millions truly she's the first woman in the 1.3 million strong defense force. Following her husband's death. life left her with no choice but to work for her family. She joined in the railway job which was offered as a compensation for her husband's death. In 2011 her dream of joining the army came true when she joined 969 railway engineer regiment of territorial army. This 35 year old woman outruns all her male colleagues and stood as the best trainee making a benchmark of  running 50 meters in just 12.5 secs. Applauds were all around her. She received an award from the then President Smt. Pratibha Patel. 

                                                 
                                                                       

Soon conspiracy cooked up around her. Many false accusations were made on her. In 2013, one day she was abducted (kidnapped) she was found tied to a railway line blindfolded. Later she was hospitalized with security. A week later she was found dead hanging in the hospital room. Her death  was a mystery and a tragedy. But as long as she lived she made it count. 

Note to my readers
